Product update: Hide price until the form is submitted

We’ve just added a handy new feature to Quotify: you can now choose to hide the form results summary or total until the form has been submitted.

This small but powerful tweak gives you more control over how your pricing information is shared with potential customers, allowing you to collect the lead’s information before a price is revealed.

Why this matters

Sometimes you don’t want users to see the full breakdown or total cost before they’ve actually submitted their details. Maybe you want to:

  • Prevent people from “price shopping” without following through.
  • Encourage genuine enquiries rather than casual browsers.
  • Keep your detailed calculations private while still showing a smooth, professional form experience.

Now, you can do exactly that.

How it works

When enabled, the quote summary and total are hidden while users are filling in the form.

Once they hit Submit Form, the form sends out the usual confirmation emails, one to you, one to them, each containing the full breakdown and total.

It’s clean, simple, and keeps everything automated behind the scenes.

When to use it

This option is ideal for:

  • Service-based businesses that offer tailored pricing.
  • Agencies who want to collect contact details before showing full costs.
  • Consultants who prefer to discuss pricing after an initial contact.

Basically, if transparency is still important but you’d rather not give away the numbers upfront, this feature hits the sweet spot.

How to enable It

When editing your form, you’ll see this in the settings sidebar to switch between Summary, Total or Hidden, like in the image below:

We built this feature after a user provided some feedback and wanted to hide prices until after the contact details had been collected.

If you’ve got other ideas for how we can make Quotify work even better for your business, let us know, we’re always up for improving how form-building should feel and your quote & estimate forms should be.
