Following on from my “first 30 days of Quotify” blog post, I thought I’d share an update of how it’s going roughly 90 days after that.
First up, the stats
Things have been slow, but then again Rome wasn’t built in a day as the cliche idiom goes.
We had one paying customer, that unfortunately didn’t continue with their subscription. But it’s still a moment of celebration as the first pound was earned since the relaunch!
We have around 60+ free users with about 10 - 12 active forms on the site.
As well, the newsletter is growing steadily with 110 subscribers.
Our LinkedIn page isn’t doing so great with just 2 followers (and one of them being me!), but I’m not great at the social media side of things, so it has been neglected. My own personal LinkedIn posts around Quotify seem to gather some traction in the form of likes & comments.
Product development
I’m still carrying out active development on Quotify with new features being released every week or so.
Here’s a sample of some of the new features:
- Giving users the option of showing a total figure or the detailed breakdown (summary table).
- Added an estimate range option to the form (e.g. ± £75 or ± 10%) rather than a single figure.
- Rolled out a modern input styling option.
- Added a side by side form layout.
As well as various fixes and small improvements that take place regularly, which I believe the Japanese call Kaizen.

Recent product update introducing a range estimate, instead of a single figure.
Feedback
One thing I’d love to gather is more feedback!
I’ve been reaching out to a few companies/trades people for feedback and I’d love some more.
Yes, this is an invitation, if you have a spare 10 minutes I’d really appreciate if you could have a good rummage through the platform - signing up is free - and let me know the good, the bad, and the ugly.
It’d be very much appreciated and I’d be happy to provide a few months of the pro subscription for your trouble.
Next steps
I think it’s a case of continuing with marketing and trying to gather more feedback & carry out said feedback.
I might try some paid ads, the organic stuff is a bit too slow for my liking. However, before I’ve collected solid feedback and implemented the changes, I’m a little hesitant at pushing forward.
